Job Title: Saw Operator – Steel Stockholding
Looking for stability and long-term opportunities? We’re recruiting a Saw Operator to join a busy steel stockholding environment on a temp-to-perm basis. Starting pay is £12.21 per hour, with the chance to secure a permanent position after the initial period.
As a Saw Operator, you’ll play a key role in processing steel materials for distribution. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be physically active throughout the day – you’ll need to be fit, able to lift and handle steel stock, and confident working in a warehouse or industrial environment.

Your responsibilities:
Operating saw machinery to cut steel to size
Measuring, marking, and preparing materials accurately
Manual handling of heavy steel products
Following health & safety procedures at all times
Working as part of a team to meet production targets
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience as a Saw Operator, Machine Operator, or similar role within a steel stockholding or engineering environment (preferred but not essential)
Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
Strong work ethic and reliability
Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
