Responsibilities

Conduct MOT tests on various vehicle types, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
Identify and diagnose mechanical faults or issues that may affect vehicle performance or safety.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results, documenting any necessary repairs or recommendations.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding test outcomes and required maintenance or repairs.
Utilise power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during testing procedures.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment.
Skills

Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
Capable of performing heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure all tests are conducted thoroughly and accurately.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
