Forklift Driver – Barry
£13.48 per hour | Temporary to Ongoing | Immediate Start Available

Nu Staff are recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Barry (Atlantic Trading Estate). This role plays a key part in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within the site.

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday

  
  

• 6:00AM – 2:00PM

  
  

  Pay Rate:

  • £13.48 per hour

    
    

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate Counterbalance, Reach, and other forklift trucks safely and efficiently

      
      

    • Load and unload goods from lorries, pallets, or containers

      
      

    • Transport materials between storage, production lines, and loading bays

      
      

    • Secure and store loads safely to avoid damage

      
      

    • Complete daily forklift safety checks and report any defects

      
      

    • Support accurate stock control and inventory management

      
      

    • Assist with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and housekeeping

      
      

    • Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors

      
      

      What We’re Looking For:

      • Valid and up-to-date forklift licences (Counterbalance, Reach, Bendi preferred)

        
        

      • Previous experience operating forklifts in warehouse or manufacturing environments

        
        

      • Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and manual handling

        
        

      • Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-focused

        
        

      • Good communication and teamwork skills

        
        

      • Flexible and able to support additional warehouse duties as required

        
        

        Location:
        Barry – must be able to commute reliably
