Kitbridge Hollow is offering an immediate start to the successful candidate!
From riding to working on the yard they offer all aspects of Equine training. The Kitbridge Team is looking for a committed team member who has a passion for the 5* care of our horses.
The successful candidate would be a hardworking and very tidy person who will generally care for the horses and put their needs before anything else. Riding is not essential but ideally can hack when required General duties include:
Tack cleaning
Tacking up
Feeding
Filling hay nets
Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
Mucking out
Rug changing
Schooling
Riding
First Aid
Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walking, long reining, Pessoa training, etc.)
Holding for vet/farrier/dentist
This apprenticeship is practical based so not lots of time spent in a classroom. Learning everything about how to care for horses and run a successful yard.
If you did not gain a 4 or above in maths and English we can help you achieve these whilst on programme.
You must have been in the UK for 3 years or more to apply for this role. You must not have a L3 in Equine to apply for this role.
Interviews will be held at the yard.
Working hours will be done on a rota basis, you will be required a weekend day.
Training
All training will be provided on
site during your paid working hours.
Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination
of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training
Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English
and maths is beneficial but not essential.
If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your
Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.

Previous experience around horses preferred
Prospects
Kitbridge Hollow is offering on the successful completion of the Level 2 Groom Apprenticeship a full-time permanent position with the possibility of progressing on to the Level 3 Senior Groom Apprenticeship and prospects of gaining teaching qualifications.
Qualification / Standard : ST0166 Equine groom
Duration Permanent
