Role: FLT Driver / Forklift Truck Driver
- Licence required: Counterbalance (dated within the past 3 years)
- Location: Leyland, Lancashire
- Pay frequency: Weekly pay for the previous weeks worked hours
- Pay rate: £12.50 per hour
Shift available:
- Monday 29th September to Friday 3rd October - 2pm - 10pm
The roles above is a set shift, due to a period of holidays.
Role summary:
We are currently recruiting an experienced FLT Driver with Counterbalance experience to cover internal holidays in a fast moving warehouse environment (certification or refresher within the past 3 years) to join a reputable client in Leyland.
The successful candidates will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently within a warehouse and production environment, ensuring smooth materials handling to support ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate relevant Forklift Truck in a busy warehouse setting.
- Load and unload goods and materials from delivery vehicles.
- Move stock to designated storage areas and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Ensure that stock is handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement, including materials received and dispatched.
- Perform regular safety checks and report any faults or issues with equipment.
- Always adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, such as picking and packing when required.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
Forklift experience, inhouse or external (RTITB, ITSAAR or BRITTOp desirable) within the past 3 years (proof of certification / refresher required).
Key requirements:
- Previous experience working as a FLT driver within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks, such as lifting and moving stock.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude to work.
