The role:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Housing Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality neighbourhood-based housing management services for a site.

This unique role involves managing day-to-day housing operations, building strong relationships with residents, and coordinating with a range of council services to ensure the site is safe, well-maintained, and compliant with legal and licensing requirements.

You’ll be the first point of contact for residents, providing guidance on tenancy matters, estate improvements, repairs, and wider council services.

You will also play a key role in addressing anti-social behaviour, safeguarding vulnerable residents, ensuring health and safety standards, and contributing to community development and engagement.

We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a good understanding of housing and site management, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, residents, and external partners.

Key responsibilities:

Managing licences, resident engagement, and estate inspections
Coordinating repairs, maintenance, and cleaning contracts
Addressing anti-social behaviour and safeguarding concerns
Supporting community consultation and representing the Council at forums
Ensuring compliance with Council policies and legal requirements

What the client is looking for:

GCSE Maths and English
Proven experience working with or alongside local government or large, multi-functional organisations across public, private, or voluntary sectors
Strong understanding of the political, housing, social, and welfare challenges facing the Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities
Solid knowledge of housing legislation and landlord responsibilities, including statutory and best practice requirements
Experience of working in housing and delivering services to residents of social housing landlords
Track record of managing anti-social behaviour cases and addressing estate-wide ASB on behalf of social housing landlords
Demonstrable experience of supporting residents to sustain their tenancy
Experience working collaboratively with support services (e.g. social services, mental health teams), with a clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities for landlords and partners
Committed to delivering excellent customer service through a collaborative and coordinated approach
