We're seeking a skilled and safety-focused Site Manager to lead the delivery of one of five modular houseblocks — four-storey secure accommodation units constructed using cutting-edge Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). This is your opportunity to be part of a landmark project that will shape the future of custodial environments in the UK.
Location: HMP Glasgow, Royston
Hours: 45 Hours P/W - Monday to Friday
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
What will you be responsible for?
-Manage and direct subcontractors across a range of packages throughout the full build process
-Ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
-Review RAMS, conduct toolbox talks and site inductions to uphold Kier's health & safety culture.
-Coordinate site logistics, plant, and labour movements to maintain a safe and productive site.
-Monitor progress, report programme slippages, and maintain accurate site records and reports.
-Collaborate with the wider project team to resolve challenges and drive continuous improvement.
-Work closely with the construction manager to report any challenges that might impact programme or quality.
What are we looking for?
This role of Site Manager is great for you if:
-You have management experience from a similar role within the UK construction industry.
-Demonstrate experience within the Main Contracting environment demonstrating technical and process understanding of large-scale commercial builds
-General IT literacy - able to use software such as Procore/ Snagmaster or similar
Qualifications / Accreditations:
-Relevant Construction Management Qualification (HND/ Degree / SVQ)
-SMSTS 5 Day Cert
-CSCS Card
-First Aid
-UK driving license
