Responsibilities:
- Supervise students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring their safety and ability to participate in learning activities and comprehend the information presented.
- Establish a trusting rapport with all students and communicate in a manner appropriate to their comprehension.
- Facilitate classroom interaction and ensure students remain engaged throughout lessons.
- Maintain an organised, purposeful, and supportive classroom environment.
- Aid in showcasing students' work and contribute to the planning of learning activities.
- Under the guidance of teaching staff, provide feedback to students, parents, and caregivers regarding their progress, accomplishments, and any issues that may have arisen.
- Adhere to child protection, health, safeguarding, security, confidentiality protocols, and report any concerns to the relevant authority.
- Assist in supervising students before and after school, as well as during break times.
- Accompany teaching staff and students on school outings and extracurricular activities, assuming responsibility for a group of students under the teacher's supervision when necessary.
To be considered for this role, the key requirements are as follows:
- Possession of an Enhanced child DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain a new one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (Essential).
- Previous experience in school settings is preferred.
- Availability of 2 relevant professional references.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of students in a professional and courteous manner.
