Are you committed and passionate about SEN Education? We are looking for the next site manager to join our established team. This is a real opportunity to make a difference for the children that we teach. Sutherland House School is a non-maintained special school for autistic children and young people aged 3-19. The school is in the heart of the Creative Quarter in the City Centre. We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive, and caring Site Manager to join our school community. This is more than a job; it’s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our students and staff by ensuring our site is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained every single day. What You’ll Be Doing: • Leading on all aspects of health and safety across the school site • Conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulations • Managing contractors and overseeing site maintenance and repairs • Supporting emergency planning and safeguarding procedures • Being a friendly, reassuring presence for staff, pupils, and visitors alike What We’re Looking For: • A strong understanding of health and safety legislation • Experience in site or facilities management (school experience is a bonus, but not essential) • Excellent communication and organisational skills • A hands-on, can-do attitude and a genuine care for the wellbeing of others • Someone who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and nurturing environment Why Join Us? • A supportive and inclusive school community • Opportunities for professional development • A role where your work truly matters If you’re someone who values safety, enjoys problem-solving and wants to be part of a team that puts children first, we’d love to hear from you.
