We are currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Steel Driver for a full-time temporary role in the Scunthorpe area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HGV driver with a solid background in steel transportation to work with a reputable local client.
Key Responsibilities:- Transporting various steel products, including long and extended loads.
- Securing loads using chains, load binders, straps, and ratchet straps.
- Conducting vehicle and load inspections prior to departure.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Delivering goods professionally and on time.
- Minimum 1 year of experience handling steel products.
- Minimum 2 years of Class 1 (C+E) HGV driving experience.
- Proficient in securing loads with chains, binders, and straps.
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) license, CPC, and Digi Tacho card.
- Strong understanding of load security and weight distribution.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- 28 days paid annual leave (pro-rata for PAYE)
- 24/7 on-call support
