We are seeking an exceptional and visionary Head of School to lead a dynamic school in Essex. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced leader with a passion for inclusive education and a proven track record of driving whole-school improvement.
As Head of School, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the academy, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes. Working closely with governors, staff, and external partners, you will foster a culture where every child is valued, supported, and able to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and management for the school
•
Drive improvement in teaching, learning, and pupil progress
•
Lead, support, and develop staff to achieve their full potential
•
Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
•
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively
•
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, governors, and external partners
•
Promote inclusion and champion the needs of pupils with SEND
•
Represent the school within the wider community and across partnerships
Qualifications and Experience
•
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
•
Extensive senior leadership experience, ideally within SEND or special school settings
•
Proven record of driving school improvement and raising standards
•
Excellent understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive education practices
•
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
•
Ability to inspire, motivate, and manage staff at all levels
•
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
