We are recruiting for a Site Vetting Officer to work on our prestigious contract at Hinkley Point C in Somerset.
Location: Bridgwater
Hours: 40 hours per week - working Mon-Fri, office hours
Pay rate: £19.30 per hour (£40,144 annually)
Our Site Vetting Officers fulfil a key role in ensuring that all personnel requiring unescorted access to the Hinkley Point C project have the correct level of security clearance for their role, in compliance with the regulatory requirements for a Civil Nuclear licenced site. Site Vetting Officers are responsible for all aspects of Personnel Security and Vetting, working closely with both contractors and individual applicants to enable a vetting decision to be made and clearance authorised. As part of the wider Personnel Security team, Site Vetting Officers are also responsible for supporting the development of an effective and proportionate Personnel Security regime.
Your Time at Work
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver all aspects of Personnel Security administration for Hinkley Point C and all associated locations.
- Provide a focal point for all Personnel Security and Vetting enquiries.
- Process, verify and manage vetting casework within Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Engage proactively with contractors and applicants to ensure that vetting applications are completed correctly and processed in the most efficient way possible
- Conduct assurance activities
- Conduct Quality Management Checks and Assurance of PEC's to ensure regulatory compliance
- Support the Personnel Security communications strategy
- Liaise internally with the wider Personnel Security team and internal business partners and externally with applicants, contractor organisations and other security professionals.
- Ensuring regulatory requirements for Personnel Security are complied with by all staff and contractors and support individuals in maintaining their clearance.
- Undertake additional Personnel Security and vetting tasks as directed by the Vetting Supervisor.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in following quality assurance processes and procedures
- Prior experience of working within a busy office environment

Educational Requirements/Qualifications:
- A good standard of education in Maths, English and IT
Specific occupational requirements:
- Ability to pass and hold National Security Clearance Vetting
- Produce a five year verifiable work history
