Crynodeb

The Department of Land Economy is a diverse, forward-thinking, and highly collaborative academic community. We deliver world-class teaching and research across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes, and we pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive, inclusive, and professional working environment.

Our professional services teams work closely with academic colleagues to provide an exceptional student experience, from admissions through to graduation. We believe in shared success, mutual respect, and clear communication, values that are embedded in how we work together every day.

The Department of Land Economy is seeking a highly organised, collaborative, and professional individual to coordinate the administration of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The postholder will manage the day-to-day operations of the Student Business Office (SBO), ensuring the smooth delivery of services across undergraduate Tripos, five MPhil programmes, and the PhD programme. They will also oversee admissions processes, examinations administration, degree committee support, and
related student services.

The role involves line managing three administrative team members and working in close consultation with the Administrative Officer, ensuring all decisions and priorities are aligned with departmental and University policy.

This is a busy and varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced academic environment.

We particularly encourage women and/or candidates from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background to apply for this vacancy as they are currently under-represented at this level within our University.
