We’re looking for a Customer Engagement and Experience Officer to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of customer experience. This exciting opportunity places you at the heart of our engagement strategy, where you’ll work closely with customers and colleagues both virtually and face-to-face to ensure our services reflect their diverse needs and aspirations.
Location: Hybrid, with a weekly presence in either our Rushden or Milton Keynes office
Salary: Up to £35,604.40 per year
Contract: Permanent
Your week: 36.25 hours p/week (9am – 5.15pm Monday to Friday, with 1-hour lunch)
What you’ll be doing
This is what your day will look like as our Customer Engagement and Experience Officer:
• Act as a specialist on customer engagement matters, offering advice to colleagues, and ensuring that customer engagement helps shape our approach on an ongoing basis.
• Supporting the delivery of our customer engagement vision and ensuring we collect customers’ experiences at key touch points and feedback is representative of our diverse customer base.
• Gathering and analysing customer insight through surveys, focus groups, journey mapping, and scrutiny activities.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to promote engagement and share outcomes.
• Ensuring compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s Transparency, Influence, and Accountability Standard.
• Communicating impact through “Your Voice, Your Impact” feedback loops.
Your toolkit for success
To thrive in our Customer Engagement and Experience Officer role, you’ll need:
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong track record of driving service improvements.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and produce meaningful, evidence-based reports.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
• Confidence in using digital tools, applications, and ICT systems to support engagement and reporting.
• Strong organisational skills, with effective project management capabilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders at all levels.
• Exceptional teamworking skills, contributing to a positive and inclusive working environment.
• A genuine passion for fairness, inclusion, and ensuring all customer voices are heard and represented.
• Experience in producing high-quality reports and maintaining accurate records to inform and improve services.
