A leading waste and recycling company is seeking a Transport Planner to join it’s Cross Hands team. You’ll be responsible for planning daily fleet operations, coordinating drivers, ensuring compliance, and delivering excellent customer service.
Due to a recently won contract and sustained high growth, a leading waste and recycling company is expanding its team. Sunny are seeking a permanent , Days Transport Planner to work from our client’s Cross Hands site.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and schedule vehicle routes in line with DVLA/DVSA regulations
Liaise with drivers, customers, and third parties to ensure smooth operations
Maintain accurate records (deliveries, collections, mileage, fuel usage)
Support transport compliance and health & safety standards
Act as first point of contact for vehicle or delivery issues
Assist with invoicing through the weighsoft system
Requirements:
UK Driving Licence
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and self-manage
Computer literate; flexible with working hours
(Desirable: HGV licence, CPC Road Haulage, GCSE or equivalent)
