About Us

At Beehive Care & Training Group Ltd, we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality care—whether they live in a town, a remote village, or at the end of a winding country lane. We’re committed to delivering compassionate, person-centred care across rural Devon, ensuring no one is left without the support they need.

About the Role – More Than Care, It’s the Journey Too

As a Rural Community Carer, you’ll provide high-quality care in people’s homes while travelling through the beautiful Devon countryside to reach them. Driving is a key part of this role, and we’re looking for carers who are:

Confident navigating country lanes and rural roads
Comfortable driving in early mornings, evenings, and at night
Able to handle all weather conditions—from frosty lanes to summer storms
Reliable and punctual when visiting remote rural locations where your presence truly matters
Our care calls typically run between 7am and 10pm, so flexibility across these times is essential. You’ll also be required to work alternate weekends as part of your contract.

This role is ideal for someone who loves the open road and is passionate about supporting people in their local communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Providing person-centred care in clients’ homes: personal care, medication, meals, and mobility
Offering companionship and emotional reassurance
Promoting independence, dignity, and well-being
Keeping accurate records of care delivered
Driving safely to and from appointments across rural routes
Qualifications & Experience

Health & Social Care qualifications (e.g., NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or 3) are desirable
A caring, compassionate nature and commitment to professional standards
Confident driving experience on rural roads and in all weather
Flexibility to work shifts between 7am–10pm, including alternate weekends
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, reliable attitude
Previous care experience is helpful, but full training and development will be provided
A valid driving licence and access to a reliable car
Why Join Beehive Care?

£26,000 contracted salary – stable and reliable income
Paid from the start of your shift to the end – not just per call
Mileage allowance for travel
Paid training and opportunities for development and progression
Flexible working patterns within your contract
A friendly, supportive team that values you
The chance to make a real difference in the lives of rural customers
