About the role
Are you an experienced EFL lecturer with a commitment to supporting student learning? Do you have substantial experience of teaching English for Academic Purposes in a variety of contexts, including online?
This is an exciting time to join a newly created team supporting the development of students' academic skills including developing all aspects of English Language. You will be based within Library & Learning Services which is a newly formed team within the Education Services Directorate. The Directorate brings together three teams including Library & Learning Services, Education Operations and The Centre for Teaching Enhancement and Innovation. As part of Library Learning Services you will report to the Senior Information and Learning Specialist.
Your specialist knowledge and expertise will inform activities and services in line with the University Strategy and the Education & Student Experience Strategy to enhance the student experience. This will involve delivering sessions to students at all levels of study including workshops and lectures.
You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to research-informed teaching and to support student learning both face to face and online. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively and collegiately as part of an interdisciplinary team and develop productive relationships with colleagues.
This is a part-time position working 18.5 hours per week on a permanent basis, with a negotiable working pattern, in a newly created team.

For this role, you will need to be on site 3 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.
