Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of French to join a vibrant secondary school in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to share your passion for language learning and culture while helping students achieve their potential in Modern Foreign Languages.
As a Teacher of French, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons, building students' confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum and play a key role in promoting languages across the school, helping to foster enthusiasm for French and international understanding.

Key Responsibilities
•
Deliver high-quality French lessons across KS3-KS4 (and KS5 if required)
•
Inspire and motivate students to develop a love of languages and cultural awareness
•
Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback and guidance
•
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement
•
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the MFL department
•
Organise or support extracurricular activities such as trips, exchanges, or language clubs
•
Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practice
•
Support whole-school initiatives and contribute to wider school life
Qualifications and Experience
•
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
•
Degree in French, Modern Foreign Languages, or a related subject
•
Experience teaching French in a secondary school setting
•
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of MFL curriculum requirements
•
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
•
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage learners of all abilities
•
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
