Construction Project Manager (Construction Supervision and Engineering coordination).
Overview
As part of our continued growth and development, we are seeking a highly capable Construction Project Manager to join our team to lead, oversee, and deliver building and interior fit-out projects of varying types and sizes from inception to completion. This pivotal role combines site supervision and construction management with strong contracts administration skills as well as engineering and design coordination skills, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards, in full compliance with statutory regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end project coordination, from initial concept through to final delivery.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and budget targets.
• Administer contracts and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Conduct surveys of project sites and existing properties to record conditions and support preparation of as-built documentation and drawings.
• Coordinate design teams and consultants to ensure cohesive, high-quality outputs.
• Review, check, and validate construction and engineering shop drawings and as-built drawings prepared by consultants or contractors, ensuring compliance with design intent and buildability.
• Develop and implement effective execution strategies aligned with the overall Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure smooth execution and timely approvals.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors, oversee site activities, monitor quality and health & safety, and conduct inspections.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and design standards.
Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in construction supervision, contract administration, design coordination, and engineering management.
• Proven experience in project leadership, project management methodologies, and construction project coordination.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and project controls.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and ability to review and coordinate technical drawings using drafting tools such as AutoCAD (knowledge of BIM/Revit advantageous).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality management practices.
• Relevant professional qualifications in construction, architecture, engineering, or project management.
• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
