Thurlaston Meadows Care Home, located in the charming village of Thurlaston, near Dunchurch, Rugby, is dedicated to offering exceptional care to our elderly residents while ensuring a safe and spotless environment.
Your Role:
- Oversee the Laundry Room and Domestic staff to deliver top-notch housekeeping services.
- Work with the Home Manager to update Housekeeping Paperwork, Policies and Procedures.
- Have computer skills to be able to create quarterly rotas and conduct monthly audits.
- Manage cleaning supply orders, including linen supplies.
- To elevate the standards of the housekeeping team members through competencies, training, meetings and supervisions.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is safe and reporting any maintenance issues through our fault fixers app.
- Build relationships with residents and understand their unique preferences.
- Have the confidence to delegate tasks within the housekeeping team.
- As a head of department, you will have knowledge surrounding Infection prevention control and high standards in line with CQC expectations.
- Lead by example and help the team when required.

- Complete room checks for new resident arrivals and report any issues to the relevant departments.
