We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team for a Band 7 position on qualification, up until then you would be employed as a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner, that would be involved into our Family Therapy Clinic.
Role:
Work with Families: Engage with families in our established family therapy clinic.
Support Systemic Thinking by Contributing to MDT meetings, team meetings, and peer group supervision.
Collaborate with Experts: Work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and creative therapists.
Specialised Teams: Collaborate with the Eating Disorder Community Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions through training, supervision, & collaboration with colleagues. They will serve as a key member of the CYPMH team, attending meetings & participating in peer group. They will conduct comprehensive assessments of families to understand their needs and develop personalised treatment plans, as well as providing consultation, therapy, & support to diverse families, addressing a range of psychological issues. This role requires practising independently within professional guidelines and service policies. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of a Systemic Family Therapist within a supportive team. Engagement in ongoing training and supervision to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge is essential. They will have experience working with children and their families. UKCP registration is essential for this role, and the initial appointment will be asa Band 6 Family Therapist, with progression to Band 7 upon registration.
