Crynodeb
Support patients who attend clinic to ensure they are supported through the clinical process and individual needs are met. Support colleagues with minor room adaption/ equipment required prior to clinical assessments. Liaise with and support colleagues in ensuring correct equipment is allocated to the correct vehicle to support efficient domiciliary appointments. To carry out specific duties that contributes to the assessment of patients as requested by a qualified practitioner. Assist therapists in clinic and domiciliary settings with moving and handling of patients. This may include the use of a hoist. Be considerate of patients needs and wishes when undertaking moving and handling. Assisting clinicians with the provision of equipment and wheelchairs under the instruction the qualified practitioner. Completing minor adjustments of wheelchairs in accordance to guidance. Delivery and handover of wheelchairs and cushions in accordance to service guidance and procedures. Processing of orders for standard wheelchairs and equipment through TCES system. Supporting the booking of appointments and processing of referrals and other administration tasks as required. Support warehouse team to ensure stock and equipment is ready for provision. Support the wider CEDAS service as required. Prioritise workload to meet delivery schedules and facilitate hospital discharge for service users. Undertake risk assessment of environment for the safe delivery and installation of equipment. To deliver and adjust equipment to service users, using appropriate TCES functions. To adjust and demonstrate the safe use of equipment to patients, service users, family and carers. Communicate effectively with members of the multi-disciplinary team. Report any accidents or concerns to equipment to appropriate person e.g. supervisor/ warehouse manager. Stores undertake general warehouse and storekeeping duties where required. Under the guidance and supervision of a qualified practitioner, make accurate, timely and appropriate entries into health records in accordance with Trust standards. To participate as appropriate in clinical and professional meetings held within service to assist effective two-way communication. To seek advice and further training, if appropriate. To make the qualified practitioner aware of any incidents arising during a span of duty and carry out any actions arising from this as directed. To take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others in the working environment and comply with instructions on safe moving and handling practice To attend health and safety and equipment awareness training to maintain up to date skills and knowledge. Report any adverse incidents using events reporting procedure. Keep up to date with mandatory training
