Charnwood Borough Council in Leicestershire is searching for the latest member of #TeamCBC! We are looking for a passionate individual who is customer-focused, a team player, and wants to help improve our local communities in Charnwood.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Housing Options Assistant to join our Housing Needs Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals and families seeking housing solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of Charnwood residents by helping to prevent homelessness and ensure access to suitable housing.

Housing Options Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Provide frontline support and advice to individuals and families experiencing housing difficulties.
Assist in conducting initial assessments to determine housing needs and eligibility for assistance.
Support the Housing Options team in developing and implementing housing plans tailored to the needs of service users.
Help clients understand their housing rights and responsibilities.
Provide administrative support, including data entry, handling correspondence, and managing appointments.

Housing Options Assistant Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong ability to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
Proactive approach to identifying issues and finding practical solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and support colleagues.
Sensitive and compassionate approach to dealing with vulnerable individuals and families.
