Lead Pharmacist – Medicines Management

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Croydon Health Services (CHS) for a dedicated and organised pharmacist to lead and support the High Cost Drug (HCD), Medicines Information (MI) and Formularyteam. Our Pharmacy Services are highly respected and our staff work closely with multi-disciplinary teams. The successful applicant will have previous experience in the Cost Drug (HCD), Medicines Information (MI) and Formulary.

We were one of the first Trusts in London to launch electronic prescribing and administration for inpatients and outpatients and are continuing to develop the system. We work closely across the interface to deliver innovative work to improve the quality of patient care and experience across the primary/secondary care boundary.



The Lead Pharmacist – Medicines Management is responsible for ensuring the day to day activities relating to High Cost Drug (HCD), Medicines Information (MI) and Formulary are carried to the highest standards and in line with our trust values. They are expected to engage with different stakeholders both from within the Trust and from external organisations to ensure seamless patient care. They will be expected to line manage other members of staff and support education and training of others.

The Post-holder will be closely supported by the Principal Pharmacist for Medicines Management. They are expected to implement objectives and strategies set out for them within HCD, MI and Formulary.

The post holder will participate in the pharmacy late-duty, on-call and weekend working rotas.
