Crynodeb
The position is responsible for all material procurement and accounting, is the Unit Health, Safety and Environment Advisor, the Site Estate Representative leading provision of infrastructure and facilities management, the Transport Manager and the Unit Contracts Officer. You will also lead a dispersed team of Logistics professionals, located across all our sites.
You will have the opportunity to work at the heart of a specialised sector of the MOD, driving continuous improvement of equipment and infrastructure, maintaining the excellent quality of training delivered to Defence. Furthermore, for anyone with an interest in sustainability, this will also be a focus of the role, as Defence strives to improve its facilities and operate more sustainably.
Key responsibilities:
Regular travel between dispersed sites will be required as part of this role. These are based in Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Lake District and Bavaria.
Line management responsibility for a team of seven.
A Health and Safety practitioner holding roles of Unit Safety and Environmental Advisor (USA), Site Estate Representative (SER), and Contracts Officer.
Principle Logistics staff officer responsible for reports and material accounts.
Site infrastructure lead.
Equipment Procurement Officer.
Defence Transport Manager.
Financial resource planning.
You will be required to undertake the All Arms Quartermaster Course within six months of appointment if not already held.
