Crynodeb
There are opportunities for both individual and group-based interventions which are used in the team to help address issues around adjustment to the condition, effective diabetes management and psychological and emotional wellbeing. Many of the patients seen within the team have complex issues related to multi-morbidity and you will be working alongside experts within the field of diabetes who are experienced and knowledgeable about the psychological impact of living with the condition. The team also has support from a consultant psychiatrist, with whom you will work closely to help manage and support the various levels of mental health needs within the diabetes patient cohort. Specialist clinical health psychology input has a long tradition at Kings College Hospital and you will be joining a group of psychology and psychotherapy professionals who are dedicated and supportive.
