We are delighted to introduce you to Aspris Woodview School. Located in the London Borough of Bromley on the Kent border, Aspris Woodview School provides specialist education services to support young people aged 7 to 19 years with autism.

Due to expansion, Woodview school are recruiting for an Assistant Head Teacher to join us for a January 2026 start. The assistant head teacher will lead teaching and learning in our secondary school provision.
Working with the close support of our Head Teacher and Deputy Head, we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and talented Assistant Head Teacher; someone with the commitment and strategic vision to build a school which can achieve the very best for our young people.
We are looking for an outstanding relationship builder, with the knowledge of how to inspire exceptional performance and maintain a positive and enthusiastic learning environment for pupils and colleagues alike. You will be part of the creation and help lead the vision of the curriculum and education programmes. creating an inclusive culture in line with the Aspris values.
Set in its own private grounds, with onsite therapy team, the school provides holistic support to autistic children and young people aged 7 to 19 years to thrive in a specialist environment, dedicated to their needs. The curriculum design enables them to follow a broadly mainstream curriculum to accredited qualifications, preparing them for adulthood and the world of work.

We are looking for someone with senior leadership experience within a special school setting for young people with autism along with the following characteristics:
Resilience - We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
Communication - Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Positive working relationships, good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
Organisation - Organisation is key to ensure the safe management of both employees and resources as well as leading and directing staff through inspection processes.
Caring - Our young people require the best care we can offer. If you are a naturally caring and compassionate person, this is the role for you.
Attentive - No two tasks will be the same so being attentive to understand the needs of the young people we support is vital
