We are currently looking for a passionate Management Accountant to join the team here at Bankside Hotel.

What you will be doing:
This is a key role reporting directly to our Director of Finance. You will take the lead on day-to-day financial operations, with a focus on accuracy, structure, and supporting a small but high-performing finance team.
Managing daily finance operations, with a focus in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Leading and coordinating the month-end closing process
Completing key balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing and submitting VAT returns and ensuring compliance with taxes and payment deadlines.
Reviewing and monitoring Accounts Receivable activities to ensure timely collection and accurate posting
Working effectively and providing support to 1–2 Finance Assistants
Collaborating with operational teams and suppliers to resolve queries and streamline workflows
Maintaining compliance with company policies and financial controls
(Good to have): Exposure to or experience with payroll processing
We are looking for someone who:
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or other equivalent qualification)
Has a strong background in Accounts Payable, with broad experience in general finance
Understands Accounts Receivable processes and can ensure robust tracking and resolution
Has proven experience with month-end activities and financial reconciliations
Brings people management skills and enjoys mentoring and supporting junior staff
Is proactive, hands-on, and comfortable managing multiple tasks with accuracy
Communicates clearly and works well across teams
Ideally has experience using Opera, SAP, Fairplanner, or other hospitality finance systems
