We are recruiting a Community Support Worker at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 17.5
Contract Type: Part Time, Permanent
Location: Links Day Services - Working from the base and within the local Communities of Caerphilly County Borough Council

We are currently looking to recruit a part-time permanent Community Support Workers to work in the Links Community Resource Base which provides a day service for Adults with Learning Disabilities who have Autism and Behaviours that can Challenge.



The main purpose of the role is to support the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of Individuals using a person-centred approach to promote choice and independence whilst making peoples' days enjoyable and meaningful.



This role requires the successful applicant to be able and confident to undertake Positive Behaviour Management training that requires physical interventions.



The service is working towards providing weekend and early evening support and you will be required to work on a rota basis as and when required.



17.5 hours per week (35 hours over 2 weeks)

Week 1 - 21 hours (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)

Week 2 - 14 hours (Thursday & Friday)

For the role, we ask that you have:

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Care on the Credit and Qualifications Framework or the commitment and ability to attain the qualification within 1 year of appointment (subject to availability of training).
The ability to assist with personal care and hygiene while respecting an individual’s privacy and dignity.
Experience within a learning disability setting.
