Are you an HSE professional looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re recruiting for an HSE Advisor to join a well-established team and work closely with the HSE Officer and HSE Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of audits, risk assessments, SOPs, training, and accident investigations, while supporting the wider business in driving a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.
You’ll be stepping into a practical, operational role with plenty of variety — from being on the shop floor conducting inspections, to coordinating audits and developing procedures. The current HSE Officer has been with the business for 7 years, and with the company being part of a wider group, there’s real opportunity for growth and long-term career progression.
What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting the HSE Officer with audits, inspections, and external accreditation activities.
• Carrying out internal audits and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Leading and supporting risk assessments, SOPs, and procedural updates.
• Investigating incidents and near misses, sharing learnings, and embedding best practices.
• Coordinating HSE training requirements and delivering internal training to all levels.
• Managing PPE, first aid, fire safety, and site inspection records.
• Acting as a key contact for external inspections, suppliers, and regulators.
About you:
Minimum 2 years’ hands-on HSE experience in a practical environment (manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, waste, or similar).
Understanding of HSE legislation, compliance, and incident investigation.
Confident with audits, risk assessments, and training delivery.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a logical and proactive approach.
Desirable: Internal auditing qualification, knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001, and experience in high-risk industries.
