We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wrexham to assist with the appointment of a Support Worker to work in a residential care setting.
We have both regular shifts (30 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we don't offer sponsorship, and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.
Rate of Pay: £13.26 - £16.84 per hour
Summary:
The Support Worker will provide high-quality care and support to individuals within Community Living Services (CLS), home care, or residential/night care settings. The role involves promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while delivering person-centred care tailored to individual needs. Working as part of a team, the postholder will support service users with daily living tasks, personal care, and social activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment in line with Council policies, Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) standards, and safeguarding requirements.
Responsibilities:
Deliver personal care and support to service users, including assistance with washing, dressing, mobility, and toileting, in line with individual care plans.
Undertake household tasks, including light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
Follow safeguarding policies, escalating concerns about abuse, neglect, or risks promptly and appropriately.
Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including infection control, moving and handling, and fire safety.
Monitor and report any changes in service users health, wellbeing, or circumstances to supervisors or healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
Social Care Wales Registeration
Essentials:
Experience of working with vulnerable adults, older people, or individuals with physical/learning disabilities (can include voluntary or personal experience).
Experience of supporting individuals with personal care and daily living tasks.
Please note:
You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
