An exciting vacancy has become available which involves working within extended roles including the medical retina, injection and post-operative cataract clinics across Whipps Cross and Newham sites with potential core optometry sessions. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Optometrist to join our teams.


The post-holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary Optometry and Ophthalmology teams that provide comprehensive and quality ophthalmology services for the Trust.

 To participate in core optometry clinics including specialist contact lenses and paediatrics

 To participate in the delivery of the ophthalmology service in the areas of Medical Retina and injection services

 To participate in the eye emergency services

 To participate in glaucoma clinics

 To participate in cataract and post op cataract clinics as well as virtual clinics

 To participate in the delivery of highly specialist ophthalmic services and extended roles that meet the changing needs of the department
