We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Diary Production Editor to ensure that all Editorial Department goals and deadlines are achieved, on time and with zero defects in our finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proofreading diaries and information sections
• Copy preparation for updating diaries
• Research and file updating
• Checking blueprints from our external manufacturers
• Carrying out Imposition Quality Checks as and when required (specific training provided)
• Coordinating with outside sources, e.g. freelance readers, co-publishers and internal and external customers as required
• Monitoring news and current affairs to ensure future products contain up-to-date and relevant information
• Ensuring editorial deadlines are met
Skills & Experience Required:
• Editorial experience, especially proofreading and accurate research techniques
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to evaluate specifications and instructions
• Ability to work independently within set parameters
• Ability to adapt quickly and with varying work and time sensitive demands
• Excellent prioritisation and organisational ability
• Enjoy working in a small team environment
• Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
• Experience with using industry standard proofreading marks (desirable)
• Modern languages, especially French, German and Italian (desirable)
