Site Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee operations at a commercial fit out, which includes supervising fit-out trades. As such, the applicant must have experience in similar types of projects. It's a CAT B project worth £4m. The project is running for 28 weeks and we will need someone in 2 weeks time.

Duties

  • Supervise daily site operations, ensuring all activities align with company policies and procedures.
  • Manage a team of workers, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary to enhance performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the site to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with management to implement operational improvements and address any issues that arise on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including attendance, incidents, and equipment usage.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff.

Skills

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to staff and management.
  • Proficient in problem-solving with a proactive approach to addressing challenges on-site.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS is preferable, but not mandatory
  • First Aid at Work Certificate - Mandatory
