GP Clinical Coordinator Out of hours Do you have experience as a GP Clinical Coordinator? We are looking for a GP clinical coordinator who will work closely with the shift manager to maximise safe patient care and the efficient running of the service, this will include providing supervision and support to all clinicians, including junior and non- medical colleagues. You will have excellent clinical, interpersonal and leadership skills, knowledge of the local health economy and experience of working in out of hours/urgent care. Salary:£86.12 per hour Location: Wavertree Technology Park, Wavertree, Liverpool Shifts: Friday 18:30-23:00, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 08:00-13:00, 13:00-18:00 and 18:00-23:00 Contract: Bank What will you be doing Responsible and accountable for the clinical management of patient care during the OOH shifts, working in collaboration with the shift managers to provide a joined up clinical and operational leadership approach. Provide clinical advice and support to all colleagues when required Build strong relationships with clinical and operational PC24 colleagues on shift and urgent care teams in the wider health/care system (such as urgent community response (UCR), mental health, social care, etc) Engage with the senior clinical and operation management teams supporting with follow up conversations around clinical decisions/care on shift, this will be both on shift and after the event i.e. Datix/Lessons learnt/HPF Forms etc Appropriately escalate any concerns to manager on call, or appropriate line managers/clinical lead Have an overview of GPST Supervisors and GPSTs on shift, ensuring appropriate supervision is in place and that supervisors maximise their own clinical contribution When capacity and demand dictates, the GP Clinical Coordinator will be expected to undertake clinical consultations Carry out medical services with due care and attention, using skills and experience in accordance with good medical practice. Triage patients over the phone and make a clinical decision about appropriate care. Investigate and diagnose with a care plan/management to follow. Medicine management and occasional urgent test management. What do I need Full GMC Registration and licence to practice Medical Degree Understanding of out of hours performance metrics Effective leadership style, adapting to individuals.
