Crynodeb

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services, contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), facilitating research participation and supporting a range of neuro early life imaging pathways. Responsibilities will include: Supervising MRI lists of clinical patients and research participants Reporting complex scans independently MDT preparation and participation Appropriate vetting of referrals and effective communications with referrers Ongoing development of imaging protocols, supported by technical teams Close working with the specialist radiography teams to ensure best practice and safety is observed for all patients Acute imaging, including emergency reporting. Teaching and training of radiology trainees and allied healthcare professionals. Engagement in research, service development, and quality improvement initiatives. Evening and weekend working when required to support service requirements Flexible working arrangements are available, including remote home reporting. This post is required to meet increasing demand for clinical and clinical research specialist services and to help further advance clinical research projects in early life imaging. It is expected that the post holder will be involved in the full range of adult and paediatric neuro and foetal imaging using state-of-the-art 1.5T and 3T MRI systems, as well as high (7T) and low (0.55T) field systems. The post will be based within the Clinical Imaging & Medical Physics (CLIMP) Directorate and the GSTT/KCL Imaging Clinical Research Facility hosted by KCLs School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences (BMEIS) at Guys and St. Thomas Hospitals.
