Transport Planner – PM Shift

Salary: up to £32,000
Working Hours: 18:00 start. 9-hour shift with 1 hour lunch break included.
We are working with a Birmingham-based Transport and Haulage organisation who are seeking a Transport Planner to join their team.
This role requires a candidate with previous Transport planning experience, preferably within the Pallet Network or a high-volume multi-drop environment.
Duties of the Transport Planner will include:
·Plan and route daily collection and delivery fleet, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met.
·Using internal systems to input planning information and routes.
·Liaising with drivers and agencies to ensure best use of resource.
·Creating paperwork, such as pick sheets, manifests and consignment notes.
·Balance service level, commercial cost and legal compliance to create viable routes across a fleet of vehicles.
·Work with the transport and warehouse functions to achieve efficiency.
·Identify quick wins surrounding bulk drops, direct runs and other opportunities that arise.
Role Requirements:
·Excellent knowledge of the Birmingham postcode area and geography.
·Previous experience using planning and routing software.
·Experience working in either a high-volume multi-drop environment or knowledge of the Pallet Network.
