The Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine are seeking a Senior Project Administrator to join the Faculty Operating Service. Based in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Highfield, you will make an important contribution to the Transformative Imaging for Quantitative Biology (TIQBio) Partnership and Holistic Optical Biomarkers for Early Differential Dementia Diagnosis (HOpE) programme, supporting the Principal Investigators and project teams and responsible for the administrative and financial operations. Successful applicants will be experienced, motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive team players who are culturally sensitive and are able to work effectively in a flexible and collaborative environment.

The Faculty Operating Service (FOS) works in partnership with the academic community, other professional services and the wider University community to support Faculties across the triple helix of education, research and enterprise and achieve ground breaking research, and delivery of an outstanding student experience. The FOS team is the integral and embedded professional service directly involved in running and maintaining the Faculty and are key to driving continual improvements and ensuring best practice.

As a member of our busy and engaged administrative team, you will deliver a thoughtful, pro-active, and efficient service. To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant experience and success in similar work in administration
Up-to-date MS Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Sharepoint
Ability to independently organise activities and events (plus schedules, diaries, meeting arrangements, etc), whilst prioritising a conflicting workload
Ability to use own initiative and suggest and implement practical and effective solutions, providing high level strategic support to senior managers
Attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills
