Crynodeb
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior HR Coordinator to lead our HR team. You will manage a team of five with responsibility for the delivery of a proactive and responsive HR service to the Faculty of Human, Social and Political Science, the Department of History and Philosophy of Science and the Department of Land Economy.
• Advising on HR policy, procedure and best practice on employment relations issues such as staff welfare, disciplinary/grievance, terms and conditions of employment (e.g. holiday entitlement, sick leave, maternity/ paternity leave, compassionate leave, leave of absence, hours of work, pay scales)
• Coordinating and managing recruitment campaigns, from writing role descriptions, advising on selection criteria, advertising and interview activity, through to preparing recruitment documentation and being responsible for implementing right to work, visa and immigration processes as well as global mobility policies
• Coordinating probation and appraisal procedures
• General administration relating to payroll, leave entitlements, sickness, holiday etc.
• Collating and analysing HR and payroll data
You will:
• have experience of HR administration, knowledge of employment law and be able to work well with a wide range of people; be confident in giving advice and be able to interpret and explain University policies and procedures
• be a skilled communicator, a diplomat, a problem-solver and able to handle competing demands on your time. The ability to plan time-sensitive work and attention to detail is critical
• be an effective team leader, able to demonstrate effective staff management skills.
• be educated to degree level/Level 6 vocational qualification or equivalent level of practical experience
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
