Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 2 to 3 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, must be office based 3 days per week.
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Business Support Administrator/ Project Support Officer to provide project support and administrative support to a Children's Services directorate.
Key Responsibilities may include:
Provide high-quality administrative and business support to senior managers and project teams within Children’s Services.
Support the delivery of projects, including maintaining action plans, coordinating meetings, and tracking progress against milestones.
Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing papers for internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation in line with council policies and statutory requirements.
Act as a first point of contact for enquiries, ensuring professional and timely responses.
Contribute to the smooth running of the directorate by supporting general office functions, such as diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking
What the client is looking for:
Previous experience in providing administrative and project support role
Previous experience working in local government or similar large public sector organisation
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Skilled in managing competing priorities and deadlines
Confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems, especially Excel
A clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal.
Proactive, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively across teams.
