About the Role

The Education Support Team provide high quality business support to all Education services including the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Services, School Improvement, and the Education of Vulnerable Children team.

We are looking to welcome someone who has a dedicated and enthusiastic approach who will provide professional business support specifically to the processes surrounding the DfE SEND and Alternative Provision Change Program.

If you have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, are pro-active and efficient, with a good understanding of IT systems, then this could be the role for you.

You would be working in a fast-paced but friendly environment, where your responsibilities will include diary and system management, being the main contact and liaising between various teams and external services and communicating via softphone and email with external education settings.
You will be a team player with a flexible and approachable manner, practicing an empathetic and patient approach.

This is a hybrid role, and following your initial induction period, your time will be divided between the office and home, so experience of Microsoft Teams and Softphone would be advantageous.

About you

Your style and approach will reflect our values and behaviours: you will be committed to continually learning & improving the way you do things to ensure effective outcomes; valuing and respecting others’ contribution.

You will work with the teams, to deliver service; taking ownership of your actions and striving to get things right first time, learning when things do go wrong; you will enjoy taking personal responsibility to resolve issues, adapting when required to ensure we continually make a difference.

You will keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation including those relating to the confidentiality and data protection. Knowledge of SEND practices and policies would also be useful for this role but not essential.
