The role involves site managing all client-specified works for main contracts, while also overseeing a dedicated project team of direct employees and sub-contractors to deliver the works programme. Additionally, the role focuses on developing client relationships within the contract. The candidate will be responsible for managing projects and associated small works secured by MITIE, either in framework contracts or stand-alone projects. All projects are expected to be delivered in a profitable and creditable way, with the aim of exceeding customer expectations. The role includes producing, updating, and monitoring project reports for contract and operations managers. The candidate must demonstrate competency in fabric and building services project management and maintain close professional contact with management and clients to monitor customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the candidate is expected to ensure adherence to the company's Health & Safety policy.

Main duties include site managing project awards operationally, in close liaison with contract and operations managers. The candidate will be required to manage the site delivery team and determine priorities in collaboration with the Projects Team for the allocation of direct and sub-contract labour. They must liaise with project supervisors, where applicable, to ensure effective deployment in completing building fabric and M&E trades, as well as any other associated project works. The candidate will also be responsible for managing and monitoring direct and sub-contract labour to ensure MITIE's expected standards are maintained in line with company procedures. Assisting in the preparation of project programmes to meet contract requirements and optimise the use of direct and sub-contract labour is also a key responsibility. When necessary, the candidate will liaise with client representatives and contract managers to ensure that all works are completed within agreed timescales. The candidate must undertake, where necessary, site safety, CDM, toolbox talks, method statements, risk assessments, and site inspections in line with MITIE procedures.

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience managing projects with values up to £10m, with the majority of projects ranging from £500k to £5m. The candidate will be expected to manage all aspects of site activity. The role is based out of the Exeter office, and the candidate will be required to travel between client sites.

To be considered for this role, the candidate must already have a valid CSCS Card and SSSTS as a minimum. The key skills required can be summarised, but are not limited to, the following: customer care and relationship-building skills, site management skills, knowledge of building fabric and M&E services, health and safety management, knowledge of ELV systems and procedures, commercial awareness, planning skills, and the ability to manage change successfully.
