We’re looking for a visionary Culture & Leisure Asset Manager to lead the way in transforming how our parks, sports, leisure, and cultural spaces deliver social and financial value to our communities.
This isn’t just about managing property—it’s about unlocking community potential, enhancing cultural vibrancy, and generating long-term value across Richmond and Wandsworth.You’ll play a key role in ensuring our assets—from historic parks to modern sports facilities—are not only well-managed but actively driving impact.
About The Role:
- Maximising Impact: Identify and deliver innovative opportunities to generate income and social value from cultural and leisure assets.
- Driving Commercial Success:Lead on sponsorships, commercial concessions, and income-generation strategies that support sustainable services.
- Shaping the Future:Develop and manage leases, licences, management contracts and community agreements to ensure assets are used fairly, effectively and in line with council priorities.
- Championing Partnerships:Build strong relationships with community groups, tenants, and partners, working together to bring spaces to life.
- Ensuring Excellence:Monitor performance and compliance across all agreements, ensuring best value for money and positive outcomes for residents.
- Telling the Story:Work with Comms to raise the profile of services, sharing the success and opportunities within our leisure and cultural portfolio.
What you will bring:
- A commercially savvy mindset with a passion for social impact and community development.
- Experience managing property or asset agreements (e.g., leases, licences, SLAs).
- Strong stakeholder management skills—you’ll be confident engaging with everyone from local groups to legal teams and senior council leaders.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for spotting opportunities and mitigating risks.
- A commitment to equity, transparency, and ensuring that our spaces work for everyone.
