Harper Adams University is looking to recruit a part time Café Assistant delivering excellent customer service experience to students, conference guests and University staff.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of some front of house catering & hospitality/café experience & good customer service skills.
The main duties of the role are:
• Serve customers in a polite & friendly manner.
• To ensure a high quality, customer focused provision of hot and cold food & beverages
• Setting up the Café offering in accordance with department standards.
• Ensure the facilities are maintained to a high standard including compliance with the department’s hygiene regulations.
• Handle cash & cashless payments in accordance with company procedure
• To assist in the promotion and display of the merchandising on counter displays
• Ensure all health and safety, legal and security issues adhered to.
• Carry out any reasonable requests from your supervisor.
• Stand in for the Supervisor during periods of absence (Holiday, Annual leave, sickness).
• All other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post and the salary range of the grade.
• Be prepared to help out with special events i.e. Graduation, Open Days and Royal Visits.
