Crynodeb

Studio Wayne McGregor is seeking a highly motivated Projects Manager to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This role is central to delivering the Studio’s wide-ranging artistic programme and supporting the international profile of Company Wayne McGregor (CWM). The Projects Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and Senior Projects Manager to oversee project logistics, touring, budgets, contracts, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring smooth delivery of complex projects and tours while aligning with the Studio’s creative vision.

The successful candidate will provide high-level support to the Executive Director, enabling them to focus on strategic and artistic priorities. This includes preparing key documents, managing correspondence, tracking budgets, and representing the Studio at internal and external meetings. A proactive approach to administration, relationship-building, and logistical planning is essential.

The role requires taking the lead on touring logistics for CWM, including contracting dancers and technicians, liaising with international agents, coordinating schedules, arranging payments, and ensuring strong representation of the company with promoters, venues, and partners worldwide. The Projects Manager may travel with the company to provide on-the-ground support and act as an ambassador for CWM.

In addition, the Projects Manager will play a key role in developing and managing external relationships. This includes maintaining a comprehensive CRM database, coordinating communications and promotional materials, and cultivating strong partnerships with venues, festivals, and promoters to generate new opportunities.

Financial and administrative oversight is also central to the role, with responsibility for reconciling budgets, managing royalty agreements, and contributing to financial reporting. The Projects Manager will also lead on evaluation, reporting, and environmental initiatives linked to touring.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for the arts, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the success of one of the world’s leading contemporary dance organisations.

Job Requirements:

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across diverse groups.

A solid understanding of touring in the performing arts sector, ideally with international experience.

Proven success in project management, with flexibility to adapt as projects evolve.

Strong financial literacy, including experience managing and reconciling budgets.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work calmly under pressure.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Strong administrative and IT skills, including database and financial systems.

Motivation, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative working environment.

Desired: Knowledge of Studio Wayne McGregor’s work and a passion for dance or the wider performing arts.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide proactive, high-level support to the Executive Director across artistic and organisational activities.

Manage all aspects of touring logistics for Company Wayne McGregor, including contracts, schedules, payments, and on-the-ground tour support.

Liaise with international agents, venues, and promoters to coordinate tours and projects.

Track, manage, and reconcile project budgets in collaboration with the Finance Manager.

Ensure accurate execution of royalty agreements and collaborator payments.

Develop and maintain CRM systems and external relationships, building awareness of CWM globally.

Oversee communications, newsletters, and promotional materials in collaboration with Marketing and Archivist teams.

Coordinate CWM and Studio events, ensuring excellent delivery and stakeholder engagement.

Lead on evaluation, reporting, and environmental initiatives for touring and projects.

Contribute to funding applications and Arts Council bids.
