We are looking for an experienced Deputy / Room Leader who will share our vision and fulfil an essential role within our management team.

As a relatively new setting, we are searching for a passionate, creative and fun loving professional to support us on our exciting journey. Having a clear improvement program, we are dedicated to the refurbishment of the whole setting.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Deputy Manager to support our existing Deputy, and the Manager of the setting with the day-to-day operations of the nursery, plus taking on the lead role in our Baby room.

At Strawberries Nursery, we are passionate about Early Years and delivering the best care and education to children.

Responsibilities:

*Provide effective team leadership, ensuring that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.

*Keyholder responsibilities, and opening/closing the building.

*Promote the health, safety, and welfare of the children, families, and team members

*Ensure that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained throughout the nursery indoors and outdoors.

*Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and that all Nursery policies, procedures and risk assessments are followed.

*Deliver high quality teaching every day to ensure each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

*Fulfill the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring that concerns relating to safeguarding are responded to promptly and appropriately.

*Support the SENCO in ensuring we provide an inclusive environment; identifying needs, executing individualised care plans, and working in collaboration with other professionals involved in the child's care.

*Instigate and facilitate friendly, positive and professional partnerships with families and carers.

*Support the manager by conducting inductions, and supervision of staff.

*Work with the Manager and other Deputy to support the welfare of all team members and facilitate a culture of positive well-being, promoting an ethos of collaboration, mutual support, and effective teamwork within the setting.

*Support all staff in their continued professional development, through role modelling, training, coaching, and mentoring.

Essential Criteria:

A full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or above.
At least one year leadership experience.
At least two years post qualification experience working with babies.
An expert knowledge of the requirements of the EYFS.
An ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
A robust knowledge of safeguarding and relevant procedures
Be enrolled on the update checking system.
First Aid trained.
Recent Safeguarding training.
