We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Driver/Courier, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.48 per hour
Summary:
To provide an efficient and reliable transport and courier service across Vale of Glamorgan Council properties and facilities, ensuring the safe handling and timely delivery of mail, packages, documents, and other items, while supporting operational functions within Building Services.
Responsibilities:
Transport packages, mail, and parcels between selected council-owned properties, including schools.
Provide an effective paper recycling collection service for the Waste Management and Cleansing Department.
Transport packed crates and packages between all Vale of Glamorgan-based libraries.
Deliver cleaning materials and equipment to council-owned properties, including schools.
Transport legal documentation between the Civic Offices and the Authoritys solicitors.
Requirements:
Valid UK driving licence (appropriate to vehicle requirements).
Previous experience in a courier, delivery, or driving role.
Good knowledge of local routes and geography.
Ability to handle packages, equipment, and materials safely.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to work.

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
