Salary: £29,267 to £31,050 pro rata
We would consider splitting this role into two part time positions. We have the following options available:
Assistant SENDCo – 18.5 hours per week, based at Selby College
Assistant SENDCo for Apprenticeships – 18.5 hours per week, based at Castleford College
Assistant SENDCo for Selby and Apprenticeships – 37 hours per week, based at Selby College (both above roles combined)

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Assistant SENDCo to join our fantastic team, where you will provide specialist support across all sites to our apprentices, apprenticeship tutors and employers.
We are looking for an independent and dynamic professional who can promote a culture of success, while working with many different departments and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and enjoyable educational experience for learners. A successful candidate would bring energy, use initiative, and a have a people-first approach. If you love variety, enjoy working autonomously, and have a knack for finding smart solutions, we’d love to hear from you.
You will:
Liaise with apprenticeship course tutors and staff to ensure learning support is effective, appropriate, review and evaluate the support on a regular basis.
Ensure compliance around Apprenticeship funding rules, meeting statutory guidelines.
Make sure key audit information is available for the Learning Support Fund (LSF)
Support the SENDCo with the annual review process for any learners with an EHCP.
Work with the Exam Access arrangement team to ensure the correct provision for learners with additional needs on apprenticeship courses is in place.
Contribute to the overall development of Additional Learning Support for apprentices at the Group.
You will have:
GCSE in Maths and English A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
Relevant Level 3 qualification
Experience with learning difficulties/disabilities
Experience of working with learners with additional support needs in an educational setting
