Randstad C&P are currently seeking an experienced Lead Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our clients Facilities Management team in Darlington/Sedgefield. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong engineer with supervisory or mentoring experience/ certs.

The Package:

  • Competitive salary between £40,000 - £42,000 per annum (Depending on experience/Quals)
  • Full-time and permanent, Monday to Friday
  • 40 hours per week, 8.30am - 4.30pm
  • Pool van for company use
  • Overtime and oncall opportunities

The main duties:

  • Direct line management of the engineering workforce.
  • Monitor performance of the engineering workforce.
  • Allocate tasks to appropriate staff using CAFM system.
  • Take on Authorised Person duties in relevant areas.
  • Participate in the Engineers On-Call rota.
  • Ensure that workforce meet relevant task KPIs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to workforce.

The requirements:

  • Qualified time-served Electrician/Mechanical Engineer with significant post-qualification experience (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 desirable
  • BS7671 18th Edition
  • Experience in a supervisory/mentor role (With Certificates)
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Full UK drivers licence
