Are you looking for a Deputy Lead post in a Breast Screening Unit, and have Advanced Practice skills. If so, this could be the post for you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic operational team leader to support staff in the Bolton Hospital Sunflower Suite and our Breast Screening Sites.
The post holder will have extensive mammography experience, which they will be able to use to develop and support junior staff whilst delivering the highest standard of imaging.
The post holder will be expected to perform clinical duties.
• To provide a high quality, timely and efficient NHS Breast Screening Programme, along with a symptomatic and specialised assessment mammographic service
• To act as coordinator for the radiographic team to ensure effective clinical co-ordination and management. To adhere to the roles and responsibilities of this role
• To provide supervision and guidance to all junior members of the team.
• Have a high degree of personal and professional autonomy. Must be a decision maker with the ability to make clinical judgements and critical decisions using their extensive knowledge, skills and experience.
• Must be able to develop robust workflows, systems and processes to ensure the delivery of safe responsive care.
• To effectively manage patient/breast screening client requirements ensuring all who are imaged receive the highest level of service and care.
• Collecting and manipulating data to produce audit presentations and documents.
• To assist where necessary and possible training team colleagues and Advance Practice team colleagues in their duties if required.
• To maintain the highest personal and professional standards at all times and to lead junior staff to deliver the same. To provide high standards of patient care in a safe, clean and tidy working environment, observing all Trust and departmental policies and to maintain professional and personal standards.
